After a ginormous amount of work, the LA Weekly Theater Awards went off  smoothly last night. I had a total blast directing it. The designers and actors were game to try anything. It was an amazing and rare treat.

Big Week

Finally finished Burn Brightly and turned it into AFI. What a giant sense of relief. Now in the process of sorting through the crazy tangle of festival submissions. Sent the film into 3 this week. A very cool/scary feeling.

This is also the week before the 34th Annual LA Weekly Theater Awards. Lost Moon Radio’s hosting, I’m directing. The theme is the post-apocalypse. For nearly zero dollars we’re trying to stage a broadway show stopper, a cannibal attack and a fight to the death. We’ll let you know how it goes.
