Lauren is a director and writer based in Los Angeles.
She works regularly in film and television, most recently directing the truTV sketch series Passive Aggressive History, part of Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack. Lauren founded the filmmaking collective Darty Hall; with them she wrote and directed the feature, 5 Pilgrims. Lauren also directed the web series Ex-Girlfiend which won the truTV Development Award at the 2015 New York Television Festival.
An experienced stage director, Lauren is a founding member of the immersive theater company Capital W. Her adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet staged in a cargo van, Hamlet-Mobile, was included in the anthology Best Plays from American Theater Festivals 2015 and was the winner of the Best Game Design award at IndieCade 2016.
Lauren is passionate about comedy. She regularly directs the Los Angeles sketch show Lost Moon Radio, which she co-founded in 2009.
Lauren teaches screenwriting through the Corey Mandell Professional Screenwriters Workshops. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and the AFI Directing Workshop for Women.
